Testimonials

Autograph magazine has brought the fun and challenge of autograph collecting to collectors worldwide since 1986. We don’t think anyone can better tell you why you’ll love reading Autograph than a few of our loyal readers, who recently shared their feelings about the magazine:

Autograph magazine is a MUST for those who are serious autograph collectors! Autograph delivers an education in every issue!
—Christopher Williams

Quality magazine, lots of exemplars and good writing. A must for any autograph collector.
Travis Roste

I love the diversity of Autograph magazine. Being from Australia I am always confident there is lots of content that applies to me. This mag is also helpful in educating the hobbyist and professional collector alike. There is no other mag in the market that comes close to this unique read. Well done, guys!
Susanne Blennerhassett

A quality publication that has the nerve to go after the crooks and charlatans pervading the industry. Steve Cyrkin deserves our praise and thanks.

I have been a subscriber to Autograph for several years and it has helped me build my collection beyond anything that I could ever believe it would become. I collect only, I write, I receive, and I place in my books. Autograph magazine has given me wonderful presents many times over the years and for an old lady sitting at home, it is a blessing and something to look forward to. When I write someone, I don’t know for sure the one that signed the photo is the one in the photo, but it is always like Christmas and it is only for my pleasure and not for profit. Thank you Autograph Magazine for the many hours of pleasure you have given me.
C. June Hutchison

Autograph magazine is a handy tool from dealers to everyday collectors. It’s always a learning experience. Some of the biggest names in the autograph industry have been seen in the magazine because of its reputation.
Kari & Thomas Aldridge

I have been looking forward to every “next issue” for over 10 years now. Not only have I gathered a lot of autograph’s but also a lot of knowledge on the hobby. Thanks.
Tom Aitken

Support this magazine! This is the only one I know of that makes sure they don’t let forgers advertise. This is the only magazine I’ve seen where they publicly name names as far as who is out there ripping collectors off peddling fake autographs. Keep up the GREAT work, Autograph.
—Michael Kasmar

Autograph magazine—I can’t pick it up without reading it from cover to cover. The yearly 10 “Best and 10 Worst Signers” is always interesting as well as the in-person stories. Thanks for an awesome magazine!

Autograph magazine really helps those who collect autographs get in touch with those who do the same. Without Autograph I wouldn’t be the collector I am today. From learning what’s new in the field to giving tips and places to get the best items, this is a MUST HAVE in today’s world!!
Andrew Killgallon

I look forward to receiving Autograph magazine each month. The articles are written by experts in each field of autograph hunting, history, and most importantly authenticity! As an authorized dealer for several musical artists, I’ve learned a great deal about the business of autographs through the magazine and online. The new Autograph Magazine Live! Web site is also a great tool for information between issues and a way to connect with other dealers, hobbyists and authenticators. Autograph magazine and the Web site are essential tools for anyone associated with autographs.

Autograph magazine is one of my favorite magazines.
—John Winfrey

I have been a reader of Autograph magazine for over 10 years. I consider it a valuable resource for me, the “through the mail” collector of autographs. The magazine gives me an insight to who would sign, what are my chances of getting it signed, and if it is real. Being an artist, I find the general layout of the magazine a gift for the eyes, it continues to innovate and inspire. After I read just one magazine, it makes me to write to venues and people I would never had thought of writing to.
Dean Konop

Easily and without question, Autograph magazine brings you accurate and informative stories reflecting the collectability along with the bad and the good of celebrity, historical and political signatures. Do your collection right, by reading AM and save both your valuable time and money.
Stephen Duncan

Autograph magazine is one of the best magazines around and a joy to read from cover to cover. Thanks, Autograph magazine!

Autograph magazine is a must-have for anyone starting out in the hobby, as well as the veteran hobbyist. I would not have known where to start collecting if it wasn’t for this magazine. It has taught me so much. Thank you Autograph magazine.
Janice Knechtel

I love doing a testimonial for this great magazine. Not only do your dreams and autographs come true. But when your at the bottom of your life and you have lost everything even watch your son of 12 years of age die in front of you, that loved autographs also and lose everything that is good. And there is no hope or love or anyone to come to you in that moment of your life. Then to receive an autograph and all those stars for just regular Joes like us. They pick you up and send you hope and love and blessing. They are truly stars, but in a Blessed Way!

Autograph magazine and all who read it and write for it and send things in are like a Big Family. They are there to reach out to say it is ok! We are here, and we understand. That to me is more than a Magazine. It is about love and compassion and hope to never give up on your dreams and hobbies. Thank you so much Autograph magazine and to you my dear friend Steve Cyrkin for helping me through these rough days. Merry Christmas and a very blessed 2010 New Year!
Steve Mills

Autograph magazine is the best resource on the hobby of autograph collecting. I find it both fun and informative.
Jeff Stutsman

I’ve been getting Autograph magazine for years, not only as a small time collector, but as a handwriting analyst. The magazine provides me with interesting samples for my guest lectures and research. Love it! Love it! Love it!
Paula A. Sassi

I love the magazine. I like Kevin Nelson’s articles on forgers. I even got a chance to take a stab and write my own article for them. They really help the little guy and everyone is like family. No pretentiousness there.
Travis

Autograph is by far the best resource for autograph news and articles. From personal experience, I can attest to their desire to stop forgers from getting their items into the hands of unsuspecting collectors. I trust those involved with Autograph and appreciate their efforts to keep this great hobby clean.
Eric Fields

Years ago I saw Autograph on the stands in Canada, it was one of the hardest magazines to get here. But as soon as I could I bought a subscription. Autograph is now a big deal at our house every month. Because of it I have not only gotten autographs, but also friendships with dealers, collectors and stars who read it as well. By far the best Magazine you could buy, as this hobby is fun and educational for kids. Steve and the gang put together an info-packed magazine that will leave you wanting more. One of the best subscriptions I have ever bought. The wife thinks so too!
Chris Mak

I have read Autograph ever since I first discovered it in the early ‘90s. I have twice been a subscriber. I really like the stories on the forgers. It is so interesting to read the ways that they bust these “black marks” on the hobby. I also am a huge fan of Josh Board’s “In The Trenches” columns! They are my favorite!
Russell Robinson

I’ve been an autograph collector on and off since the age of 9. Isaac Asimov answered my letter I wrote for a school project and I was hooked. While I primarily picked up the magazine to check out Steve Grad’s pieces on Metallica and Star Wars autograph collecting, I’ve been very impressed with the other stories and features. You have a great magazine and I’m proud to be a subscriber.
Bret

Autograph magazine is a true blessing for all of us who love this hobby. The addresses it provides helps our collections grow. The articles also help tell us which autographs are real or fakes. Thanks Steve Cyrkin!
Kevin Wilbert

Love the magazine. Have probably received a couple hundred autographs through the mail using the addresses in each issue.
Paul Wise

I’ve been an Autograph reader for many years. I love the magazine. I have a subscription because I couldn’t find it in my favorite bookshop in Antwerp, Belgium.
Jan Costermans

Autograph magazine is the “must-have” manual for collecting autographs!!!
Tim

Love this magazine. Wish it was easier to find. I hope other fans of this magazine get involved with discussions to help other collectors.
Julie Flores

Travel through time and space without ever leaving home. Autograph is informative and fun. Read one issue and you are hooked.
Mark Kraynak

As a recent subscriber and a relative newcomer to the industry (3 years), I find the magazine a great source of not only information on quality suppliers (and the bad ones too!), but as an ongoing educational tool. I find it a valuable part of what I do and it is always an interesting read. I always look forward to receiving my copy in the mail…even half way round the world!
Rob James

I have been collecting TV, Movie and Music memorabilia for the past 39 years now and with the help of your great magazine I have been able to get most of my huge collection autographed. I have been able to authenticate my collection by matching up the autographs that I get and the ones in your magazine and you are especially helpful with through the mail addresses. Your magazine is the only one that I read on a regular basses. If you are a serious collector then you can’t afford not to read this great magazine, thank you Autograph magazine for all your help.
Robert Aicher

I really appreciate every issue of Autograph magazine. Steve Cyrkin has done fantastic things in recent years. Although he has lost much advertising by not allowing dealers who sell questionable autographs to advertise in the magazine, he has done the right thing by alerting the autograph community to the largest problem of this wonderful hobby— forgeries.

As no other magazine has, Autograph magazine educates collectors, and the articles on protecting collectors from buying forgeries have been exceptional. I personally loved the philosophy of “The Whistleblowers,” which points out the main problems for new and unwary autograph collectors.

There is no question that this magazine is a must-have for every serious autograph collector and enthusiast. The quality of the articles, design and content are outstanding, and always a true pleasure to read and an education.

Autograph is the eyes, ears and voice of the hobby. I also highly recommend that everybody be part of the Autograph Magazine Live! community, which I believe is the next generation for people to share the love for the autograph hobby. In the future I would be very happy for Autograph to publish an independent “test” between the different third party authenticators. And I would love for IsItReal.com and Autograph-Club.org to have a column in the magazine similar to the one that the UACC has. It could be a great benefit to the autograph community. Thanks for your great work.

I’ve been reading Autograph for about 5 years now. I really love the articles and addresses. I lost my job last spring due to the economy and collecting gave me something to look forward to. Keep up the good work!
Michael Finch

As a relatively new member of this exciting but unique community of autograph collectors, I would most certainly be lost without Autograph magazine to help me traverse the many roads to successful collecting. Their articles on safe buying and avoiding frauds help all collectors avoid the potholes and pitfalls of this unique hobby, all the while helping guide you to credible authenticators and sellers.

Every month the magazine features an article about a character actor; the face or voice may be familiar but the name leads us to the familiar mind game of, “Wait, wait, don’t tell me.” There are features on collecting history, with a singular profile on the historical figure you won’t find in any other magazine. You could even find yourself featured in an issue if you have a recent in-person autograph story to share. What could be more fun? Then they pack each issue with three hundred names and addresses of the newsworthy and the notorious, stars of Hollywood, Washington, the major leagues, Olympics, space exploration, or international news. This is one magazine that you absolutely positively must have if you are an autograph collector.
Jay Burstein

My son and I love your magazine and look forward to reading it each issue from cover to cover. We never throw it out but save it for research purposes. Your current issue had a great article on Steve McQueen. Informative articles like this with photos help us build our collection without making costly mistakes of buying fake autographs.

Your magazine also helps us with pricing so we know what to pay. We use the price guide that came with our subscription daily. We consider ourselves advanced collectors but we learn or confirm what we found to be true.

I highly recommend your magazine for the new collector, dealers and advanced collector. I highly recommend the use of your magazine for ads as I always get results in buying , selling and trading. The Tips you have are outstanding. I have to thank you for the great work you do for the hobby and our enjoyment and collecting.

Trust is a great thing and I can count on your magazine! You can see my store on eBay: 4,700 positive feedbacks 100%!  I know a good product when I see one. Bravo to the whole staff.
Jim Capobianco

I just love reading every issue of the magazine when I get it. You will learn exactly everything you need to know for the hobby. I think someone should do a column each issue for Current TV and past TV shows.
Adam Richard Utz

I just subscribed to the magazine. Two issues showed up today—that’s like 3 days after I subscribed! Service like this keeps very loyal customers. Thank you!!!
Sheldon Gajarian

Autograph magazine is the one place that every fan of the hobby can go to and have a direct connection to the top experts and the latest news. This magazine is the who, what, where, when and WOW of the autograph world!
