A few places to score autographs, if you're in sin city.
I just got to Las Vegas. The Monte Carlo looks bizarre, with that recent fire. You can see it from the freeway, all charred up.
And, having driven there from San Diego, and dealing with five hours of bad drivers (and bad weather), I was shocked, but not surprised, to see in the newspaper, that top fuel drag racer Doug Herbert's two sons were killed in a traffic accident near their home in North Carolina.
One was 17, the other 12, and they died instantly when the car they were riding in colided with another vehicle. Statements made, said the two boys collided with a Hummer (it's tough to win when you run into one of those). This, after they tried passing a third vehicle, and they spun out of control.
I wonder if race drivers, and their families, drive more aggressively. I have to assume they do. They grow up watching it, and driving, from an early age. And, that can make you do careless things on the road.
But I digress.
