Mr. Kerwin Matthews passed on ,  in July 2007 . I found out about a month ago and was quite saddened.

This actor played Sinbad in stop  motion animator Ray Harryhausen's 7th Voyage of Sinbad, The Three Worlds of Gulliver , Jack the Giant Killer and much more.

I never met this man, yet, over the years I sent him items in the mail to his home. I always used an SASE and he always returned my items hand signed!

I have many things I sent to him that he autographed for me and he also sent to me photo's he had, as well as a couple pics of him sitting with his cats.

He had a nice sense of humor because the few photos he sent back from his own collection he always wrote up funny quips on them, and then signed them.

Below are just 2 pics from  my collection. One is the DVD cover of 7th Voyage he signed and mailed back to me, and an item I received from him many years ago of a photo with Sinbad fighting the Cyclops. Months later, I had Ray Harryhausen hand sign the same photo for me!

What a unique and rare collectable, and it is on my wall!   I will watch a few of his films again soon and remember he was quite a physical and fun actor to watch.
