A little about my blogs.

As a guy who turned 38 a few weeks ago (would it have killed you readers to have sent a card?), I'm not the most computer savvy person in the world. And, for a few of the publications I write for, I've been asked to start blogging. Since I type 100 words per minute, and I love to talk (errr, type) about a variety of subjects, I thought the opportunity to do that would be exciting.

Obviously on my blogs here, I'll try to stick with various autograph and memorabilia collecting items. Or, things I hear or find out about regarding various celebrities.

I encourage everyone to post, whether you agree with me or not. Having topics discussed and debated, to me, is a blast. For example, one of the newspapers in San Diego just wrote a piece making fun of David Letterman, who I love (and not just because I won a $25 bet by having him read one of my letters on the air). But, this reporter talked about how Letterman's "Small Town News" was just a rip off of Jay Leno's "Headlines." And how Letterman isn't as funny. I had to explain that people that talk about other comedians/talk show hosts "ripping off" had better watch out. After all, Leno's "Jaywalking" wasn't started by him. Howard Stern did that a decade earlier. And, before him, Steve Allen did that on the original Tonight Show. And, not only that, Letterman's "Small Town News," is a bit different. He reads an entire news story from some small town, that is funny. Either the story was written funny, or it's about something so bizarre, it's interesting. Leno's headlines just poke fun at unusual headlines, like "Post office paychecks lost in mail."

Well, here I was giving this writer a hard time. I know he's an old dude, because I've seen his headshot in the paper. And what does he do? He emails me back, asking if they can run my letter in the paper. I laughed. Here I am making fun of a reporter, and now, all of San Diego will be reading it.

Anyway, I want you guys to experience that. If I write something you don't agree with, tell me. If you do agree, I'd love to hear that also. And, to me, no story involving an autograph you got is ever boring. There's always something interesting about it, or something to be learned.

Thanks for reading.

If I develop carpul-tunnel syndrome from these blogs, y'all will be hearing from my lawyer.
