I heard Rod Stewart was in San Diego, having a tour of Sea World. As is usually the case, you only hear about those things after the fact. But, I would have brought a copy of my Gasoline Alley or Every Picture album for an autograph, had I known earlier.

The following day, Will Ferrell was in town. This, I had known about. And I tried contacting the place he'd be, but to no avail.

A guy named Craig Pollard had his 15th annual Cancer for College Golf Classic, and his USC fraternity brother Will Ferrell, who has done so in the past, hosted the live auction and event.

I contacted them. Mentioned that Ferrell was one of Autograph Magazines "worst signers" and how he's joked about that on some late night shows. I said I'd like to meet him.

I never heard back.
