Obama special limited number
I've heard famous people complain they won't sign autographs because fans never leave them alone. Two people over the weekend told me about how Paul Newman stopped signing autographs because of a time he was bothered in a bathroom.

I always thought seeing someone in a bar was a good place to get a signature. They've had a few drinks in them. They're in a good mood. Sure, you might get the signature on a bar napkin that's half wet...but at least they're being friendly. Well, unless it's the time Charles Barkley threw someone through the window of a bar. That person didn't ask for an autograph, though. They started mouthing off to Sir Charles.

The other day, in Shreveport, Lousinanna, actors Josh Brolin (son of James) and Jeffrey Wright, and some of the crew on a new Oliver Stone film, were arrested during a bar room brawl.

It was last Saturday around 2:00 a.m. at a bar called the Stray Cat.

Brolin was booked and posted $334 cash bond to be released.

When I found out this would be the third President movie Stone would tackle (he did Nixon, JFK, and this one is simply called "W"), I figured the fight may have stemmed from a political debate some of the patrons had. But when alcohol is involved, there's no telling what could've happened.

The movie began filming in May, with Brolin playing President Bush and Wright playing former Secretary of State Colin Powell. After seeing some of Brolins tough guy performances (most recently in the overrated "No Country For Old Men"), I wouldn't want to mess with these two, and the other five crew members that were involved in the tussle.

The cast is rounded out by Elizabeth Banks as first lady Laura Bush, Ellen Burstyn and James Cromwell as the elder Bushes and Thandie Newton as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Along with No Country, Brolin appeared in two other films last year...``In the Valley of Elah,''  and ``American Gangster," where he looked tough driving a nice Mustang and getting in Denzel's face. But it was Denzel that blew up his car and got the best of him at the end (oops. I should've had a spoiler alert there).

Wright won a Tony Award for ``Angels in America'' on Broadway and a Golden Globe for it in the television miniseries. He also has appeared in``Ali'' and the Bond film ``Casino Royale.''

Stone has said the film, which will focus on the life and presidency of Bush, won't be anti-Bush but, as he told Daily Variety, ``a fair, true portrait of the man. How did Bush go from being an alcoholic bum to the most powerful figure in the world?''
