On TMZ the other day, I saw Katherine Heigl signing a bunch of autographs. And, what was so cool about her doing it was, the paparazzi was hounding her with rude questions. Many about how she hasn't been getting along with the writers (regarding her pulling herself out of Emmy consideration, commenting on the lack of good material). She kept the Sharpie moving, even as the questions were uncomfortable.
Tonight, I saw Get Smart. It was disappointing. But, it had it's moments. I love Alan Arkin. And Steve Carrell is always great. The autograph moment, was when the code word for "bomb" was "football". Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, was telling Steve "I have the 'football' in the suitcase." Steve responds, "If by 'football' you mean 'bomb', I'm interested. If you mean a real football, I'm not interested. Unless it's autographed by Joe Montana. Then I'd be very interested."
I, and every autograph collector watching, can appreciate a scene like that.
