A charity auction with a Charger QB, and a chef from a cooking show.
There was an event in San Diego recently, that made me realize how big reality and cooking shows actually are.
You see, in autograph collecting, sports stars are probably the most sought after. So when I heard about this, I couldn't stop laughing.
The Star Pals Youth Athletics had a charity luncheon a few weeks ago. Someone I know that went said they got Charger quarterback Philip RIvers autograph, and they were excited by that. But he couldn't believe the line for someone he didn't even know. It was longer than the Charger QB, who he thought was the biggest name there.
I asked who it was. He said "Sam Zien. He's a famous chef or something."
I Googled, and found out he is Country Television Network's "Sam the Cooking Guy."
I said, "Hey...I would've lined up. If it was for his food."
I was told by my friend, the food wasn't that great.
