Well, Britney Spears finally made the news for her work, and not her late night partying or court appearances.

She appeared on the show "How I Met Your Mother," which is a really well written show, starring Neil Patrick Harris (Doogie Howser).

Her wardrobe from that appearance, is being sold at an online auction to benefit the Natural Resources Defense Council, an environmental organization.

I think there's a few days left if anyone is interest. There are six items to choose from, including a navy print Juicy Couture dress, a cream Nannette Lepore cardigar with blue flower details, and a yellow Nannette Lepore dress.

She played a flirty receptionist who had a crush on one of the main characters. And, although they increased their ratings by 3 million viewers the night of their appearance, I think I read that some other show, like Dancing with the Stars, still had more viewers.

I'm curious as to whether they had planned to auction her wardrobe off from the get-go, knowing it could fetch a lot of money.
