A map and autograph of Fidel Castro will be auctioned soon.

The AP released a story out of Miami, about a guy named Bernardo Viera Trejo, who in the summer of 1955 (hey, that sounds like a Bryan Adams song), his then-friend, Fidel, met up with him after his release from prison.

Castro attempted to overthrow Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista (hey, now it sounds like we're back in high school).

While they chatted, Castro drew a map of the domed attack on the military barracks. Viera said he thought Castro might some day be an important person, and so he had him sign the map for him, which he did. He said <"But Fidel, couldn't understand why I wanted it."

Us autograph collectors do. And now, at age 75, he's going to cash in big, with Heritage, which will auction the map. Back in October, they had a lock of Che Guebara's hair that went for $100,000. That still amazes me, considering you could buy Elvis hair strainds for as cheap as $25. Although, I might pay $100,000 for one of the kings sideburns.

Representatives of the auction house say the signature is authentic, and matches other verified examples of Castros signature from that time.

Since I sometimes see gum on the market, that celebrities reportedly had chewed...I'm gonna hold out for a cigar Castro has finished smoking.
